Kelly O’Brien KystCopywriter
While press liaison for one of New York’s largest and busiest art galleries, Kelly was responsible for all press and catalogue information for the gallery, exhibitions and artists. The key was to turn the thoughts behind the artists’ and gallery’s work into compelling texts that attracted the attention of both the public and the media. Swapping New York for Copenhagen, Kelly shifted her focus to up-and-coming galleries, working on the launch of bendixen contemporary art in Valby. Kelly handled all press and advertising, and helped quickly establish the gallery as one of the best venues for new, cutting-edge artists in Denmark. A skilled writer and translator, Kelly worked for six years as a freelance editor – working on a broad range of texts, from a sci-fi screenplay to lectures and promotional materials for international conferences. At Eye for Image, she grasps any creative challenge with both hands to create world-class messages with global appeal. And when she’s not working? It’s hard to say. But she does have a vast collection of ten-pin bowling trophies that she won as a kid, and claims to be a walking database of random pop culture.
